  The Farmers to Families food box program here in the US expires 12-31-20. Rather than saying the program from the government expired and they have no intention to funding something like that themselves, they are lying and saying they had safety concerns and are suspending it.

  It never ceases to amaze me how they feel the need to lie when it really isn't even necessary.

  And of course they aren't going to use their funds or congregation funds to perform actual charity work! I mean, it's not like they are a not for profit or anything like that?? LOL

  what happened to petra was not the fault of mark o'donnell, listener, corney, mike and kim, or anyone else.. constant rejection and shunning even at an early age, the depression was storing up inside of her.

  she was shunned inside the hall and outside the hall.

  World Wide Work Resolution Doubled Overnight

  during covid-19 crisis our hall decides to double the amount sent to hq from our local account.

  the resolution is unanimously supported, no questions asked.

  has anyone else had this happen?.

  Ours was more but they didn't outline the differences or reasons. I know of one congregation that resolved to donate slightly more than they took in on a gross basis the last several months. Unsure how they would go about paying their normal operating expenses when/if they ever go back.

  dear brothers, july 27, 2020. in 1919, the president of the watchtower society made a bold prediction, “millions now living will never die”.

  that quotation was constantly repeated by the organization till the year 2000 when they realized that everyone in attendance at that assembly, who listened to j.r. rutherford repeat those words, are dead.. that teaching has guided my life.

  statements were repeatedly made at assemblies, conventions and in print that there was no career in “this system of things” so you don’t need a job with benefits or retirement, your fulltime job is to “preach the good news”!

  Great picture Ken! Good luck on your campaign. If I lived in AL, I'd vote for you.I love the no BS sort of approach you are taking. I volunteer for our local youth sports programs and it just feels great to contribute even in a small way to the community. I never got that feeling knocking on doors.

  Doubting Bro

  What I did was gradually decreased my commenting over a few months to zero. Same for service although I turned in a nominal amount of time. In short order, people quit inviting us to "gatherings" and the like. When I go, people still talk to me but it's very superficial and these are folks I've known for 20+ years. I never say anything negative and they don't really press for answers. It's kinda weird to be honest but we've been able to strike a balance that allows us access to family without blowing the whole thing up. Probably got lucky based on many stories I hear.

  US Letter Read Sunday 4/26 at Meeting - No KH Use and No Field Service Indefinitely

  there was a letter read sunday at our meeting that mentioned some parts of us are starting to open back up.

  however, regardless of things opening up that no kingdom halls should be used for any meetings of any kind.

  also, no door-to-door ministry or any form of in-person ministry is allowed.

  My ExElder Best Friend Has Coronavirus

  this has been a horrible month.

  my best friend’s wife just called to tell me that my friend had to be hospitalized due to severe coronavirus complications.

  he has severe pneumonia, is put on a ventilator and is in a coma .
